Favio Osorio, A citizen of Peru; he began his coaching career in 2003 serving under the orders of Brian Fankhauser and Dr. Tim Harvey at the recognized Quince Orchard Swim & Tennis Club. Favio began his tennis career at the age of eight playing state and national tournaments in Peru under the coaching of his father Guillermo Osorio. After moving to the states, Favio continued his tennis profession playing tournaments at Northwest High School and competing around the nation playing USTA Tournaments. At NWHS, Favio played #1 Varsity Singles for three years and achieved numerous awards including Varsity Letters and ‘Most Valuable Player’ awards. It was during his high school career that Favio trained at the prestigious Tennis Center at College Park working under the management of Vesa Ponka. While playing USTA tournaments, Favio became one of the best junior players in the state of Maryland and the Mid Atlantic Section. After graduating from NWHS, he went on to complete a career in Economics at NCAA Division I Mount Saint Mary’s University on a tennis scholarship. There, Favio played #1 Varsity Singles and Doubles, obtained ‘Best Player of The Week’ and ‘Most Valuable Player’ awards and served as captain on his junior and senior years. He has recently graduated this spring from Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Economics and Business. Favio has over six years experience teaching tennis to every age and ability level.
